Larry Jansen, Former Executive Director,
Missouri Lottery
Biography: Larry Jansen was
appointed as the executive director of the Missouri Lottery in September 2005.
Before becoming executive director Jansen was the lottery's controller and
chief financial officer, a position he assumed in 1986. Under his direction the
Lottery received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the
United States and Canada's Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for
five consecutive years. Jansen, a certified public accountant, holds a
Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Jansen also served as the chairman of the board of directors for the
Missouri State Credit Union from 1991 to 1993. In 1995, he was an early
participant in the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) E-business
initiative with other state lotteries.
