Biography: Dana Hayden
Dana Hayden was appointed interim President and CEO of the British
Columbia Lottery Corporation on June 8, 2007. Prior to this
appointment Ms. Hayden served for two years as Deputy Minister, Strategic
Policy, Office of the Premier. In this role she provided direction and support
to government staff to ensure that government's priorities were understood and
implemented. Ms. Hayden was also responsible for the government's strategic
plan and service planning in government. Ms. Hayden has been in government
for 23 years in a number of other roles such as Deputy Minister and CEO of the
Crown Agencies Secretariat; Assistant Deputy Minister, Corporate Services for
several Ministries; Vice President, Policy and Planning at Forest Renewal BC;
Director of Policy and Planning, Office of the Premier; Assistant Deputy
Minister, International Trade; and Special Advisor, High Tech Strategy. She has
also owned and operated a small business. Ms. Hayden has two sons: Cordell
(15) and Justin (13). She has a B.Sc. in Forest Science, a M.Sc. in Economics
