Association
APLA is the Asia Pacific Lottery
Association. It is one of five regional associations of the World Lottery
Association (WLA).
APLA represents 25 lotteries from 10 countries in the
Asia Pacific region with combined annual revenues in excess of US$21 Billion.
APLA is a forum to cultivate and strengthen communications for the benefit
of sharing information and experience within the worldwide lottery industry.
APLA was formed in 1999 and is subject to the Association By-laws. The
By-laws provide the corporate governance framework under which the Association
is administered. APLA's Aims and Objectives.
The aims and objectives of the
Association are:
- to advance the goals and collective interests of
its Members and to enhance the capability, common knowledge and status of
individual Members by:
- promoting and encouraging cooperation and
professional exchange of experience, information and resources among
Members;
- convening meetings, conferences, working groups and
such other forums to facilitate communication among Members in furtherance of
the aims of the Association;
- serving as a platform to discuss lottery related
issues;
- representing several or all Members in conveying
common positions or opinions to authorities, private and public, including
representation in any court as a party or third party wherever such Members
have authorised the Association to speak or act on their behalf;
- the establishment of services in education,
statistics, information or administrative matters;
- representing the interests of Members at, and
participating in the activities of, any association that promotes the alignment
of the same aims and objectives at the world and regional level; and
- striving for and respecting territorial integrity,
public order and morality.

May 1, 2012 1 - 4 May 2012 APLA/WLA Seminar to be hosted by
Singapore Pools in Hanoi Vietnam (co-organized with the Banking & Financial
Institutions Department, Ministry of Finance, Vietnam) Members are invited to
join the APLA/WLA Seminar "Best Practices in Lotteries" to be hosted in Hanoi,
Vietnam from 1-4 May.

Association is pleased to announce the 2012 Regional Conference will be hosted
