Women and Gambling Conference 2008 This event
is an ideal opportunity to bring together academics, industry representatives
and opinion formers to explore current and future trends around female
participation in both the National Lottery and gambling more widely. The
conference will commence with a keynote address from the Minister for Sport,
Gerry Sutcliffe MP along with a chance to set the tone for the day regarding
the issues that you feel are at the forefront of Women & Gambling. A panel
session will be hosted by Radio 4 Women's Hour presenter Jenni Murray to set
the scene on current Women & Gambling trends. There will be a session run
by industry insiders who will deliver a viewpoint on the future direction of
Women & Gambling. The conference will feature the use of hand-held
interactive technology and panel style interviews, providing a great
opportunity for attendees to engage in discussion with a range of speakers.
The conference is being held on Tuesday 3 June 2008 at The Cumberland
Hotel. The Women & Gambling Conference will begin with registration and
refreshments at 9.15am. The formal proceedings will start at 9.45am and will
